Graduation Information - Class of 2016
Graduation night is almost here! I wanted to review a few items:
Graduation Practice Schedule
Wednesday, June 15 1:00pm – 2:30pm Middle School Multi-Purpose Rm
Thursday, June 16 1:00pm – 2:30pm Turf Field /MSMPR
*Graduation tickets, caps and gowns will be distributed at Thursday's practice
Friday, June 17 8:15am – 9:45am Turf Field
Graduation Night
Seniors need to be in the Senior Wing by 6pm. Please be sure your gown is pressed and hung.
For all guests, the ceremony will begin promptly at 7pm. Parking will be limited. Please give yourself plenty of time.
No tickets are required for the outdoor ceremony. Please bring the four tickets that will be issued with you in the event we have to move the ceremony to the Middle School Multi-Purpose Room due to weather.
If any member of your family is handicapped and needs reserved seating, please notify Mr. Carroll by Wednesday, June 15.
Please be aware of the following information regarding our Lightning Detection System. We have created a proactive plan in the event the system should be triggered by lightning in the area.
- If the siren sounds prior to the start of graduation, which would be any time before 7pm, we will wait until 7:20 for the field to be cleared for re-entry. If the strobe light is still flashing and the horn to reopen the field has not sounded, we will move the ceremony into the Middle School.
- If at any time the Lightning Detection System should sound after the ceremony has begun, we will evacuate the field and bleachers and move the ceremony into the Middle School Multi-Purpose Room. The ceremony will resume at the point where the siren sounded.
- If for any reason we need to have the ceremony in the Middle School Multi- Purpose Room, you will need to present a ticket to enter.
