Dear Parents/Guardians:

The Waldwick Board of Education offers an internet-based payment system that allows you the option of paying for your child’s lunch on-line, via credit card or ACH (electronic check). This service also allows you to receive automated emails detailing your child’s account balance, which items they purchased, and if their balance is low.  Additionally, like EZ-Pass, there is an “auto-replenishment” option which allows you to set up a low-balance threshold and automatic debit amount to replenish your child’s account. More info on this system can be found at http://www.myschoolbucks.com  Note that there is an internet convenience fee associated with payment by credit card or ACH, whereas there is no fee to put money on account at the register by cash or check.

You will need your child’s Student ID# to set up an account on http://www.myschoolbuckks.com

To access the account at lunch, your child must enter his or her ID number on the PIN pad at the register. This is the only way to access their account for school lunch. We encourage parents to assist their child in learning this number, which will remain the same throughout their enrollment in the district.

Also note that if parents choose to use the http://www.myschoolbucks.com system to view reports only, they may do so at no charge. The ICF (internet convenience fee) is only imposed on deposits to your child’s account made by credit card. The Waldwick School District retains no portion of this fee, which has been established to cover credit card and ACH fees and web site maintenance costs.

Note that while “good old-fashioned cash” will still be accepted in the cafeteria, for faster service to students, our hope is that many parents will appreciate the ease and convenience of pre-paying for their child’s lunch, either via check, or on-line. Think about it…no more lost lunch money…no more forgotten lunch money…no more “losing the change” to the $10 or $20 bill…your prepaid funds will be held safely in trust by the school.

Internet Payments for lunch will be accepted in as large or small an amount as you feel is convenient for you. These monies remain on the child’s account for as long as they are in the Waldwick School District. Arrangements can be made should your child leave the district prior to graduation.
