Genesis Parent Access is now Open for 2024-2025 School Year
We are open!!! Genesis Parent Access is now open. Parents have the ability to complete all of the necessary forms. Once the required forms are completed, your child(ren)’s schedule will be visible on both the parent account and student account. Through Genesis Parent Access, all parents are required to complete the following forms under the Forms Tab. Once you click on the form link, you have the ability to read and sign all forms online (Forms are only available through parent accounts).
Student Schedule - Reading it
When looking at the Summary Tab in Genesis Parent/Student Access, you will see your schedule for the day. By using the green arrows next to the calendar days, you will be able to see your schedule for every day moving forward.
Yearly Rotating Drop Schedule
Here is the complete schedule for the month of September as well. - WHS September Calendar
If you have an issue with your schedule please complete this Google Form and the counselors will review it when they return in late August. The counselors do not work over the summer so this form is the best way to alert us to any issues.
There is one item related to scheduling I would like to bring to everyone's attention. Over the summer we were able to add an additional Computer Science / STEM course titled, Introduction to Cybersecurity. We are very excited to add this course to our program. The class is running during Period 3. If you have a study hall or an elective that was not your first choice and you have an interest in this course, please complete the Google Form and the counselors will work to update your schedule prior to September 4.
WHS FORMS:
High School Parent Signature Sheet (Required 9-12)
Chromebook/GAFE/Devices Sign-off Form (Required 9-12)
PaySchools Central is up and ready to accept payment for the Chromebook Insurance Fee*. All students have the opportunity to purchase Chromebook insurance for a fee of $25 online.
In addition to the two forms mentioned above, you will also see forms for Athletics, Senior Privileges and Random Drug Testing.
Athletic Forms
See guest blog post from Trainer Boz - Athletic Paperwork 2024
High School Seniors Only (Required 12th Grade Only)
Any senior looking to park on campus or take advantage of the "Open Campus" policy needs to have the Senior Privileges form submitted through Genesis Parent Access. This form will also collect your child’s name as you wish it to appear on their high school diploma.
Juniors Only (Open Campus for Lunch)
Waldwick High School juniors may obtain consent from a parent or guardian to leave the school building and grounds during their lunch block only.
The “open campus” concept is a privilege and not a right. Over the past few years, this privilege has been extended to juniors and we will continue to do so this year.
Random Drug Testing
All students who participate in extracurricular activities, interscholastic and intramural athletics, or who possess school parking permits, must participate in the Random Drug Testing Program, as well as any other students who choose to voluntarily participate in the program.
Updating Contact Information (IMPORTANT)
Within Parent Access, you have the ability to update your phone numbers and email addresses for all contacts. You can also create and add new contacts and update your health related contacts. Please note that it is the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian to maintain up-to-date PHONE and EMAIL information, as all Emergency Notifications will be generated using the contact information in Genesis.
Please submit these forms no later than Wednesday, September 4.
Over the next few weeks, I will be posting a few different blog posts with information related to the start of the school.
