WHS February Students of the Month
WALDWICK HIGH SCHOOL
February Students of the Month
2017 – 2018
CONSUMER SCIENCE
MADISON SCHEIDELER - Madison Scheideler, a
junior, is the Consumer Science Student of the Month. Not only is Madison
high-achieving in her academic skills, but she is also a well-rounded student
in the program. Madison is almost done sewing her self-designed pajama pants
and has served brunch to the Seniors in Schools. Madison also provided the
entertainment for the January brunch by dancing a ballet duo with her brother,
Dylan, for the Seniors. It’s a pleasure having Madison in class. Good luck to
you, and continue to do a great job!
THEATER
MIA HILDEBRAND - Mia Hildebrand, a senior, is
the obvious choice for student of the month for her tireless contributions to
the theater production of this year's performance of 9 to 5, The Musical.
As Stage Manager for two years, Mia works hard and puts in so much time,
effort, and energy. Even though Mia does not prefer the spotlight, there
is no denying that she deserves recognition for her commitment and dedication
to the productions for the Drama Club. She is an unsung hero because no
one sees specifically what she is doing, but without her, the productions would
not be as successful and streamlined.
Thank you, Mia!
RYAN GRIFFIN - Ryan, a senior, has
become one of the standouts in the cast in his first year of Drama Club.
Besides the hard work that goes into playing a lead, Ryan (who plays Joe
in 9 to 5) has become a leader in the cast. While preparing
himself, Ryan has gone out of his way to assist his fellow castmates in
learning their music. Beyond preparation for the performance, he has also
helped with the behind-the-scenes work while assisting with set construction.
Ryan's commitment and talent has made him a crucial member of the Drama Club.
ATHLETICS
JESSICA TURNER – Jessica is a senior captain on
the girls basketball team this winter. In her final month of her career,
Jessica played some of her best basketball. She became just the fourth
female in Waldwick High School history to score 1000 points in her career.
Jessica also led the to a winning record for the season, a berth in the NJSIAA
State Tournament and was recently named 1st Team All-League. Jessica has had an
outstanding career at Waldwick High School and it has been an honor to watch
her compete on the basketball court the last four years.
JOSEPH PARSONS – Joe is a senior captain on the wrestling team this winter. Joe had quite a month to finish out his wrestling career. Joe won his 100th career match, won the District 4 title, was named Most Outstanding Wrestler at the District Tournament and was named 1st Team All-League. Joe has had a tremendous wrestling career at Waldwick High School and we are extremely proud of him.
