WHS March Students of the Month
WALDWICK HIGH SCHOOL
March Students of the Month
2017 – 2018
NIKOLAS PAENG - Congratulations,
Nikolas Paeng on being nominated the Physical Education student of the month!
Nik is a current 10th-grade student and valuable member to Waldwick High
School. Nik’s consisted effort, participation, behavior and positive attitude
were recognized by his teacher and peers alike. He is a respectful young man
that has great things to look forward to with his hard work and determination.
We are lucky to have Nik as a part of the WHS team.
VIDEO PRODUCTION
MICHAEL McNAUGHT - Although Michael, a
senior, did not have a video class since the eighth grade, he wanted to learn
more about TV production. Since September he has been a passionate quick study
in making quality videos in the Advanced TV 3 and TV 4 classes. Mike’s
overall creativity has helped him produce some of the most entertaining videos
this year, not to mention providing the show with its first ever handmade
animations for Wake Up Waldwick this year.
STEPHEN WOODS - Stephen, a senior, has
been quietly working hard since freshman year to produce a solid repertoire of
work. Last year’s short skit called "Pencil" marked his arrival
at WHS as a serious producer and filmmaker.
Check out the film "13" for the plot twist, cinematic camera
work and great editing. Stephen also lends his time teaching advanced
editing techniques to his fellow students.
Skills that he learned on his own during class.
ATHLETICS
GARRETT MIRONENKO – Garrett is a junior on the Baseball Team this spring. On March 31st, opening day of the season, Garrett pitched the Warriors to a 7-1 victory. He threw 6 innings, gave up 0 earned runs, and had 8 strikeouts to pick up the win to start the season. Garrett is also getting it done in the classroom, carrying all A’s and B’s in all of his classes including many honors courses. Garrett is the total student-athlete and a role model for all Warriors!
