The purpose of this post is to provide you with information on our state testing schedule for May. 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) for Math (Geometry or Algebra 1) on 5/16 & 5/17. 9th grade students will be taking NJSLA - ELA on 5/18 & 5/19. 11th Grade students will be taking the NJSLA - Science Test on 5/24 & 5/25. Testing Dates/ Times: NJSLA Math - Geometry & Algebra 1 (9th and 10th Grade) Monday 5/16 Unit 1 Tuesday 5/17 Unit 2 AM Testing Only - 8 - 9:55am (Approximately) NJLSA ELA - 9th Grade Only Wednesday 5/18 Unit 1 Thursday 5/19 Unit 2 AM Testing Only - 8 - 9:55am (Approximately) During the four days of testing (5/16, 5/17, 5/18 & 5/19), we will have a delayed opening for selected groups of students not testing. Mamma Mia! Show nights: Thursday, 3/10 Friday, 3/11 Saturday, 3/12 Show starts at 7pm in the Little Theater

  Over the past thirteen years, Waldwick High School has teamed up with the Sean Fisher Memorial Foundation and the Gift of Life Foundation to honor the life of Sean Fisher and provide heart screenings to all 9th graders. The screening program is offered at no cost to the Freshman and Sophomore classes ONLY and will take place at Waldwick High School on: March 23, 2,4 ,25 during school hours. The company that will be handling the screening is H&D Sonography, LLC . Screenings takes approximately 15-20 minutes and includes: 2D echocardiogram. In order for a students to take advantage of this opportunity, they must go online, select a time slot using the Genius Sign up link on the flyer. The purpose of this post is to provide you with information on our state testing schedule. Students in grade 11 will be taking two performance-based assessments in English Language Arts (ELA) and two performance-based assessments in Mathematics. New Jersey public schools are transitioning to a new required statewide graduation assessment this year called the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA) for all students in Grade 11. NJGPA is aligned to New Jersey Student Learning Standards for grade 10 ELA, Algebra I and Geometry. “The new regulations comply with State statute (N.J.S.A. 18A:7C-1 et seq.) and require, as a prerequisite for graduation, all students to demonstrate proficiency by achieving a passing score on the English language arts (ELA) and mathematics components of the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment, or by achieving a passing score on a substitute competency assessment, or by submitting portfolio appeals through their district.” In May, NJSLA Asses...
