ACADEMICS
KYLE MASARWA – Kyle, a senior, is the Academic Student of the Month.
Teachers and support staff are amazed at the transformation this young man has
made during his tenure at WHS. What we have especially noticed and admire
about Kyle is his emerging ability to advocate for himself. Kyle took it
upon himself to apply for college, apply for SAT exams and talk to the
appropriate staff when he needed clarification. He has truly come a long
way. Kyle is a young man who has bridged the gap between the necessity
for support and the desire for independence. He is steadily improving for
the better. While Kyle’s disability may have set some personal and
academic barriers, it is with strength and grace that Kyle continues to
confront these challenges head on.
CHILD
DEVELOPMENT
MARISSA SANTO – Marissa, a senior,
decided to join our Kids, Kids, Kids Program
in her last year at Waldwick High School. Marissa loves working with kids and it
shows. Not only does Marissa excel
academically in the program, but her creativity shines through as well. She even bakes for us! Thanks Marisa for a great year
and best of luck in
your future endeavors.
ATHLETICS
ERIN McHUGH – Erin, a senior, has had a great month on the
track team. On Monday, April 27, Erin won the NJIC Patriot Division
Championship in the Javelin at the League Championship Meet. In fact, her throw of 121’ 7” was the best in
the entire NJIC Conference at the Championship Meet. Erin has also broken the school record in the
Javelin this season by almost 10 feet from the previous record. In addition, Erin is doing very well in
school carrying all A’s and B’s and is a great teammate to everyone in the Track
program.
ALEX SHERIFF – Alex, a senior, continues to
improve this track season and on Monday, April 27, Alex won the NJIC
Patriot Division Championship in the Triple Jump with a personal best jump of
41’ 4”. Alex is a hard worker, great
teammate and fierce competitor. Alex is
holding up his end in the classroom as well and is everything we consider a
Warrior to be.
Its very informative and i am sure it will help many other people like the way it helps me. Thanks for the information.
