WHS News - Halloween Costume Drive

Image
WHS Warrior Outreach Club Halloween Costume Drive Oct. 14-18 Boxes will be outside of the Main Office and at the Homecoming Game Collecting to benefit the Jersey Cares Halloween Drive Items needed: New or gently used costumes (ages 0-14) Halloween masks Costume accessories Unused Halloween face make-up Candy pails or treat bags “For thousands of children across New Jersey, the Halloween traditions of costumes, candy and trick-or-treating are anything but magical. For these children, Halloween costumes often don’t make the list of essentials in the family budget. Halloween carnivals, trick-or-treating and the possibility of being your favorite superhero – even for a night – all disappear when you don’t have a costume. Help Jersey Cares bring imaginations and magic to life for children living in New Jersey by collecting new and gently used Halloween costumes.” Advisor - Beth Serwin

Waldwick High School will be a national testing center for the administration of the PSAT Exam and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.  This test will be available to Juniors only.  In the past, we have offered the PSAT's/NMSQT on Saturday's and students were charged a fee. This year and moving forward, we will offer the test free of charge during the school day. The PSAT is an excellent opportunity to prepare and gain an understanding of the SAT exam. Juniors are eligible for a National Merit Scholarship depending upon their score. PSAT study guides were handed out to all Juniors.  English and Math teachers are taking time to review the study guide with the students.  If there is a parent/guardian who wishes not to have their child sit for the test, I ask that you have a conversation with your son's or daughter's guidance counselor prior to making that decision.  On Friday, April 24, 2020, all Sophomores will have
