Heart Screening at WHS - Class of 2021

For the ninth consecutive year, Waldwick High School has teamed up with the Sean Fisher Memorial Foundation and the Gift of Life Foundation to honor the life of Sean Fisher and provide heart screenings to all 9th graders. The screening program is offered at no cost to the Freshman class ONLY and will take place at Waldwick High School on April 9 and 10 during school hours.  This year the company that will be handling the screening is mCORE . We Got Matthew ... We Got Matthew - I am Sports Award

Our very own Senior,  Matthew Rypkema, has been nominated for the NorthJersey.com - I am Sport Award   The I AM SPORT Award presented by Englewood Hospital and Medical Center is a contest created to honor high school student athletes who  are committed to giving back to the youth in their communities. Please take a moment to vote for the student athlete shown below that you feel is most deserving of this award. You may vote once per day through 11:59 am EST on March 19, 2018 Link to VOTE -  I am Sport Award Mr. Fisher (Sean Fisher's Father) nominated Matthew and this is what he wrote:  Matthew was found to have a severe case of arrhythmia from the Sean Fisher annual heart screenings at Waldwick High School when he was a freshman. Matthew had to undergo a procedure called an ablation, to realign the electrical components in his heartbeat. This all took place when Matthew was a freshman. WALDWICK HIGH SCHOOL January Students of the Month 2017 – 2018 BUSINESS PANAGIOTA PAPAMICHAEL - Pennie, a senior, has taken several business classes throughout her time at Waldwick High School.  In each one, she has taken pride in her work and eagerly participates during class discussions and activities.  Pennie also proves to be an amazing peer mentor and offers to help those around her.  She is creative, has excellent problem-solving skills, works hard and will do very well in the business world! NORMA BELHACHEM - Norma, a senior, has taken several business classes since coming to Waldwick High School as she prepares to major in the accounting field in college.  She shows such promise and dedication to succeeding in the accounting field.  Norma consistently asks questions to learn more and further her understanding of the financial aspect of businesses.  Norma is great at collaborating with peers and serving as a mentor to those arou

Class of 2022 - High School Scheduling for 18-19 SY

On Thursday, February 1, the high school guidance counselors, Mrs. Gastman and Mrs. Fortini met with the eighth grade students regarding their schedule for next year.  Students will be making their requests online for the elective courses they are interested in.  The core academic courses (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies & World Language) are based on teacher  recommendations and will be posted later in March for student/parent review.  Below are two important links which should be reviewed: The Course Selection Guide gives a description of all courses offered at WHS.  WHS Course Selection Guide Any student interested in being part of the any of the Honors Program (Language Arts, Science or Social Studies) need to indicate that by completing this online form: Interested in 9th Grade Honors Course *Students that are interested in the Honors Program will need to take a placements test later in February.  The Scheduling tab will be available on Gene
