WHS Guidance News - Naviance Presentation for Grade 9 & 10 Parents

Attention Grade 9 & 10 Parents and Guardians:

EVENT: GRADE 9 & 10 PARENTS - NAVIANCE PRESENTATION

DATE: Thursday, October 10, 2019

TIME: Two sessions to choose from - 8:00am or 6:00pm

PLACE: WHS Little Theatre

High School counselors will be on hand to provide a short presentation on Naviance, a career and college program. Time will be allotted to answer any questions parents may have concerning the use and application of this valuable resource. We have two sessions scheduled, a morning session and an evening session. So whichever time slot works best for you - we would love to see you there!

We ask that anyone intending to attend the morning 8:00am session to please RSVP by Oct. 8th (by email) - which would include your name, and your child's name. Emails can be sent to my attention at: cassidyl@waldwickschools.org
You only have to RSVP for the morning session, not the night session.

This presentation is for parents only. Students are shown how to use this program by their counselors.

As you know, Naviance is a web-based college and career planning program. Counselors will show you various features in Naviance that will be helpful in the career and college planning process. We use the email feature in Naviance as the primary communication tool between guidance, students and parents regarding announcements, publications, and the like. Email should be checked a few times a week by all students and parents. In addition, the high school Guidance office has created a Naviance Handbook to assist parents and students to navigate the many valuable features the program has to offer. The booklet will be available on the Guidance website by early-October at http://www.waldwickschools.org/whs
