September Students of the Month
2016 – 2017

SARAH ARMSTRONG - Sarah, a senior, is the World Language Department Student of the Month. Sarah is currently in French V Honors. Affable and extremely mature, Sarah is an independent thinker and a quality student who strives for success.  To that end, Sarah was voted President of the National Honor Society by her peers.  As President, Sarah goes above and beyond.  She keeps the entire group organized at all times and is extremely efficient.  In addition to her impressive academic achievements, Sarah plays varsity softball and tutors whenever she is available.

JOHN GREENWALD - John, a senior, has a very good background in Technology education having completed Materials Processing, Design and Engineering and four years of CAD experience.  He has also participated in STEM competitions and loves using the 3D printer to design.  John will have a very good start in college pursuing a career in engineering because of his broad background.

MADISON ARCHER Madison is a junior on the Girls Soccer team this fall.  Madison scored her first goal of the season in overtime of the first round Bergen County Tournament game to clinch the upset win over Fair Lawn on September 28.  Her goal propelled the team into the second round of the tournament, where they would go on to win again in upset fashion.  Madison scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Demarest.  She is also getting it done in the classroom.  Madison started the year carrying all A's and B's in her classes; working hard to be everything a student-athlete should be.

TYLER SEMUS Tyler is a senior captain on the Cross Country team this fall.  He has helped organize a team that is scoring with a full roster of runners.  At the September 21 League Meet at Garrett Mountain, Tyler finished first in the group and clinched the team's big win over Saddle River Day.  He followed that up with a personal best at the Wild Safari Invitational and then led the team to another win a week later over Bergen Charter.  Tyler has been a dedicated athlete to the cross country/track program the last four years and is poised for a big senior season.
