Heroin and Opiate Abuse - A Program for Parents

The Borough of Waldwick's Stigma-Free Initiative and Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission will host the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office for a presentation on the dangers of experimentation with prescription medications, specifically opiates, and how they correspond directly to the increase in heroin use by young people. The event will take place Monday, April 30th, 2018, 7:00 pm, Little Theater, Waldwick High School, 155 Wyckoff Avenue, Waldwick, NJ 07463.

Presenters will provide first-hand accounts and examples of heroin-related arrests, overdoses and deaths throughout Bergen County. Parents will leave with a practical, real-world education on the chilling effects heroin can have on the lives of their loved ones and the importance of good decision-making.
