Early Career Programs @ BCC

Juniors and Seniors,

Below is something I received from Bergen Community College that I wanted to share. What they are offering is not for everyone; however, I believe there might be a handful of students who may be interested. Since the BCC program takes place from 11:30 am - 2:15pm, students interested would need to work with me and their guidance counselor to make adjustments to their schedule in order to participate in this type of program.

Early Career Programs @ BCC

It seems with hybrid instruction planned this fall at many high schools, there is a greater interest in alternative programs for high school students that may be interested in entering the workforce immediately after high school.

To support those efforts, Bergen Community College will be running three shared-time certificate programs for high school juniors and seniors that will connect these students to careers in critical, in-demand industries such as health professions, logistics and education.

The three certifications are Medical Office Assistant, Certified Logistics Associate and Childhood Development Associate. The programs include internship experiences, resume writing, interviewing skills, job placement assistance and may be eligible for college credit as well.

The courses will begin September 21st and run from 11:30 am until 2:15 pm and they will be 100% online.

Please complete this form if you are interested in this program - Interested Form  The form will close on Wednesday July 29.
