The Waldwick School District is thrilled to announce that Hackensack Meridian Health will be supporting our staff and community with monthly wellness webinars.

We are committed to supporting our families and educators in working through the challenges that we all faced during the past few years. Starting this month, on November 29, at 3:15pm, you can join the first live webinar entitled, Letting Go of Stress: How to Adapt, Cope & Thrive. This webinar will discuss the nature of stress, types of stress, and offers coping skills and relaxation techniques.

Letting Go of Stress: How to Adapt, Cope, & Thrive

This presentation will discuss the nature of stress, types of stress, and gives language to the emotions associated with everyday stress. Effective coping skills and relaxation techniques will be shared with detailed instruction to offer new ways to respond to stress. Through experiential learning, participants will discover strategies to improve overall health and well-being.


Sleep and Rest for Health

Sleep is a foundation for good health, yet so many of us struggle with it. This presentation will provide simple, and easy to understand concepts, to help individuals recognize the value of sleep, and to help implement sleep schedules and routines. Strategies are included to maximize sleep potential that can be implemented on waking, during the day, and prior to sleep.


Recenter, Reset, Rebalance: Simple Ways to Center Yourself

This presentation offers simple practices to access inner calm, reset to response-ability rather than react-ability, and reviews interventions to improve sleep.


Music to Ease the Mind and Release Stress

Music can have a powerful effect on the body and mind. Many studies show that music has numerous health benefits including its ability to reduce stress and promote relaxation. In this program participants will learn to use music to support health and wellbeing.


Emotional First Aid

Emotional First Aid was created by the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP). This presentation shares a variety of self-care tools designed to calm the nervous system and decrease the effects of stress and trauma. Participants will learn simple techniques to promote the healing process, encourage grounding, and enhance problem-solving and communication.
