STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

MATHEMATICS

Maria Umana – Maria is a pleasure to have in class.  She is currently a freshman in Algebra I.  Maria is a very motivated student; always demonstrating a terrific work ethic and a positive attitude.  During class time, she is always focused and on task.  Maria is very conscientious about homework and class work.  She works well individually and in a group.

VOCAL

Allison Estell - Ally is currently a member of the WHS Senior Chorus.  She is committed to learning different ways to improve her singing techniques.  Ally is always willing to help other students with musical dilemmas and always has a smile on her face.  In addition to singing with the Senior Chorus, Ally is also an active member of the WHS Drama Club.  She will be taking part in the spring musical, "Curtains."  Ally has shown her love for music and theater by helping in other areas of production as well.  Ally was also an Assistant Director for the Middle School musical production.  Ally’s energy and commitment to singing and her love for performing shine through both on stage and off.

ATHLETICS

Douglas Palmadessa – Doug has averaged 19 points per game with the game winning shot vs. Ramsey and game winning free throws vs. Hawthorne Christian to take home the Frank Baldachino Christmas Tournament Championship.  Doug has also stepped up his leadership role, has become a mature player, and is doing whatever is necessary to make himself and his teammates better.
