What a night for Waldwick High School and the Waldwick community!  Congratulations to the Boys Basketball Team on winning the State Sectional Championship.  Their 68-50 win over Wood-Ridge earned the team their first sectional title since 2000.

It was an amazing night for everyone involved with WHS.   The atmosphere in the gym one hour before the game was electric.  Our fans were amazing and our team played a great game.  It was truly a SPECIAL night.

***On a side note relating to the game, received an email this morning from someone who attended last night's game and had a lot of great things to say about the game, the atmosphere in the gym and the behavior of the fans.   The person that sent me the email is not from the Waldwick community and does not have any connection to the school district.  I wanted to share with everyone one part of the email that made me extremely proud to be the Principal of Waldwick HS.

WHS Cheerleaders - "It's all about the Spirit"

"Most importantly the conduct of your student body was specatcular. If someone were to film their cheers and chants during the course of the game it would be a perfect video for fellow HS administrators to show their student body the right way to act during a game. No booing, no derisive taunts at a bad call, only positive cheers for the players-what a novel approach. Kudos to your student leaders and/or staff responsible for that terrific display!!!"
