WHS April Students of the Month

WALDWICK HIGH SCHOOL
April Students of the Month
2013 – 2014

ACADEMICS
NICHOLAS MARCHESE – Nick, a sophomore, is the Academic Co-Recipient Student of the Month.  Nick has worked hard at improving his academic performance in his sophomore year.  His teachers note that he has valuable contributions to the class discussions and is good at generalizing the information into other areas.  Nick also gets along well with his fellow classmates.  His understanding of the classwork has quickly become an area of strength for him.  Outside of the classroom, Nick has worked alongside the trainer as part of the work study program and is a member of the JV Baseball team.

PETER WAYNE – Peter, a sophomore, is the Academic Co-Recipient Student of the Month.  Peter’s growth as a student over the past two years has truly been admirable.  He has demonstrated that hard work, diligence, and dedication pay off in leaps and bounds for he has earned the coveted “High Honor Roll” status in Marking Period 3.  Peter has always challenged himself.  His teachers use words such as “inquisitive, proactive, and focused” to describe him.  It is with precisely these qualities that Peter has catapulted himself to a level of exemplary academic performance.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT
MICHELLE KOCELA – Mischa, a senior, is the Child Development 1 Student of the Month.  Mischa not only achieved the highest year summary grade among all three Child Development classes, A+, but she is also calm-spirited, thoughtful, talented and organized, attentive with the children, helpful to the teacher, works-well with peers and is genuinely interested in the class.  Even the preschool children greet period 4 daily cheering, “Mischa!” as she’s the first one on the job.  We’re so glad Mischa chose Child Development in her senior year to add her creative lessons to the program when she graduates.  Good luck and thanks, Mrs. Taylor

ATHLETICS

JAMIE PATRONICK– Jamie Patronick, a junior, is the Athletics Student of the Month.  Jamie has excelled this year on and off the Softball field.  With a tremendous attitude, Jamie has accepted many roles on the Softball team and has been both a leader and a mentor to her teammates.  Jamie was recently inducted into the National Honor Society.  She is an extremely conscientious student-athlete and we are very proud of her many accomplishments at Waldwick High School.
