November Students of the Month 2014 – 2015

ALEC MEKARZEL – Alec, a junior, is the Science Department student of the month for his performance in two science classes, Physics and Computer Science.  Alec was nominated by his teachers because he is a hard-working and self-driven student.  He has a thirst for knowledge and pushes himself to know and understand the principles of science.  Alec displays a sense of imagination and creativity within a technical context and has an ability to apply his Computer Science knowledge to excel in Physics and his other classes.
SEAN MARRO Sean, a senior, is currently enrolled in CAD III.  He has set the pace for the rest of the class maintaining a 100 average for the year.  Not only does Sean work hard in class learning CAD software, but Sean also intends to participate in the Architectural 2D CAD Design event at the State Technology Student Association Design Competition in March.  After graduating from Waldwick High School, Sean hopes to become an architect.

ERIN ARCHER – Erin, a senior, was one of the girls soccer team’s three captains this year.  She did a fantastic job as a leader in her senior season.  Erin finished first on the team with eight goals scored and scored five goals over the team’s final three games. She was a constant impact in the soccer games whether scoring goals or helping to create them.  Erin has been an excellent student as well this fall, receiving A’s and B’s first MP in all of her classes.  Erin is going to be extremely tough to replace next year.

DANIEL WALSH – Dan, a senior, played his final high school soccer season leading the boys soccer team to the State Sectional Championship this month with his outstanding play in goal.  He was the vocal leader of a defense that dominated the playoffs.  Dan also was able to excel in his classes during the first marking period, securing all A’s and B’s.  Dan will finish his soccer career with a 3rd Team All-County honor, a First Team All-League honor, and three league titles.
