MATH
EMILY PORTO – Emily is an eleventh grade student in Algebra 2/Trigonometry.  Emily is an excellent student who always strives to do her best work.  She has strong mathematical skills and is able to make the connections between old and new concepts.  In addition, Emily is an active participant in the class, asking questions when needed and willingly participating in classroom activities.  It is a pleasure to have her as a student.  Congratulations Emily!

VOCAL
KAITLYN MARSDEN – Katelyn is currently a member of Senior Chorus.  Katelyn is committed to learning different ways to improve her singing techniques.  She has worked hard to develop the skills necessary to be a valuable member of the Drama and Music Departments.  She focuses her energies on proper singing technique and in the past years has developed a good sense of choral singing.  Katelyn seeks help when needed and gives support to the other members of the department.  She can always be counted on to take part as a leader, helping other students along the way.  Katelyn is also a member of the Drama Club and most recently was the Stage Manager for the Middle School Musical, Annie Jr.  Katelyn’s energy and commitment to singing as well as her love for performing shine through both on stage and off.

 ATHLETICS
GRACE D’ANNIBALE – Grace, a junior, is a three year starter on the Varsity Girls Basketball Team and has led the team to two early season wins in December.  She is averaging 13 points and 5 rebounds a game to start the season and has shown great leadership and plays tenacious defense.  Grace works hard on the court every day and in the classroom where she is carrying A’s and B’s in all of her classes.

JOSEPH PARSONS – Joey, a freshman, has had a fast start to his career here at Waldwick High School.  He is a freshman on the varsity wrestling team.  In the Bergen County Tournament in December, Joey finished 4th in his 126lb weight class.  That is an impressive feat for a freshman competing against the best in the county.  Joey has also been an excellent student where he currently has all A’s and B’s in his classes.
