What needs to be completed to get your Chromebook

We will start handing out Chromebooks on Monday, September 28 during gym classes to the students that have all forms submitted and payment has been made for the damage protection. What needs to be done: Step 1 Make sure under the Forms tab in Genesis that the two forms; Chromebook and GAFE Links and  District Technology Devices are "Completely" filled out and submitted. New Staff at Waldwick High School - Sarah Van Vliet

It is my pleasure to introduce Sarah Van Vliet to the Waldwick community.  Ms. Van Vliet will be filling in for Mrs. Parsils, teaching Art.  We are very excited for Ms. Van Vliet be part of WHS. Can you tell us a little about your background? I grew up in Parsippany, NJ and was always interested in creating art. I went to Monmouth University and graduated with a degree in Art Education and Special Education. This is my first teaching job! What made you choose education as a career? For as long as I could remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. I had three great teachers in my life that inspired me to become a teacher; my fourth grade teacher, my high school sophomore English teacher and my high school Art teacher. What appealed to you about Waldwick High School? I love the camaraderie at this school and how everyone works together toward a common goal, teaching the students! New Staff at Waldwick High School - Elaine Thoman

It is my pleasure to introduce Elaine Thoman to the Waldwick community.   Ms. Thoman will be filling in for Mrs. Serwin in both the high school and middle school.  We are very excited to have her part of WHS. Can you tell us a little about your background? I live in Ridgewood and went through the Ridgewood public school system.  I just graduated this past May from Montclair State University where I received my BA in Music Education, with voice as my primary instrument.  Music first became a part of my life when I chose to start taking piano lessons at the age of 8.  Cello came next at Hawes Elementary School and I played in the orchestra through my freshman year of high school.  It wasn't until my freshman year at Ridgewood High School that the choir director asked me to audition for his top group the next year.  I started studying voice my sophomore year and haven't stopped yet! It is my pleasure to introduce Taline Royland to the Waldwick community.  Ms. Royland will be a great addition to our Math department. This year she will be teaching Geometry at the high school and will also have two classes in the middle school.   We are very excited to have her part of WHS. Can you tell us a little about your background? I grew up in Westwood, New Jersey and went to their public schools from K-12. I played volleyball, basketball and softball. I attended Monmouth University where I majored in Math and Education, and worked in the Math Department by tutoring students in all areas of math. What made you choose education as a career? It's Chromebook Time

On Monday, September 28th we are rolling out the Chromebooks!!!!  This is an exciting day for everyone at Waldwick High School and we can't wait to get them into the hands of our students.  There are few things that need to be completed in order for each student to get their Chromebook.  We still have some parents that have not submitted the required forms through Genesis Parent Access.  Two of the forms were posted in August, but one was just posted on Friday 9/18.   Here is what needs to be submitted:  In Genesis under the FORMS tab you should see: *High School Parent Signature Sheet  *Chromebooks and GAFE Links  (These to forms have been posted since August 19) *District Technology Devices  (New Form, only post on 9/18) As a reminder FORMS are only visible when signed in under a parent account The new form " District Technology Devices" covers the " Chromebook Damage Protection Agreement"  and two other distri...

How to make your payment for the  Chromebook Damage Protection . The link below are directions on how to setup your account and make payment using PayForIt.net **Directions:  PayForIt - Online Payment for Technology Damage Protection There are two things you need when you are setting up your account.  Student ID #, which can be found in Genesis and the method of payment.   Below are some screen shots and directions related to the PayForIt site.   This is the Home screen for PayForit.  Click on the "Sign up for an Account". Register your account.  This is parent/guardian information.  Provide payment info.  Credit cards and online checks accepted.  Check your email for the confirmation number.  Enter your user name and confirmation code to activate your account.  Once you click "Activate", you will see a statement in red appear.
