WHS News: Update on GAFE/Chromebooks

First week is complete and we are off to a great start! All students have been issued their Waldwick Google Apps for Education account which teachers have already started using.  As of now, students do not have access to Gmail; however, once all forms have been returned and we hand out the Chromebooks, that feature will be turned on.

We still have a large number of students/parents that have not submitted the forms online through Genesis Parent Access.  If you have not completed them, please get them done this weekend.  The forms can only be accessed through the parent login.

Through Genesis Parent Access, all parents need to complete the High School Parent Signature Sheet and the Chromebook & GAFE Sign-off Form under the Forms Tab. Once you click on the Form link, you have the ability to read and sign all forms online.

The distribution of the Chromebooks is still scheduled for Monday, September 28.  At this Monday's Board of Education meeting we will be finalizing the last two pieces; one of which is the Chromebook Damage Protection Agreement.  I will have more information on that early next week.

There will be two informational sessions for parents to explain what the 1-1 learning environment will look like and how Google Apps for Education will be utilized.
